As a private cello teacher in Northampton, Massachusetts, as leader of the instrumental music program at the Smith Campus School, and as director of the Junior Division of Greenwood Music Camp, Sally Bagg has touched the lives of generations of developing musicians. She has worked tirelessly to bring chamber music into the lives of people of all ages, including long service on the board of ACMP (The Chamber Music Network). A graduate of Smith College, Sally is the mother of five, the grandmother of eight, all of whom love classical music and most of whom play a classical instrument.“Sally doesn’t just teach children how to make music—although that would be a great enough gift. She also teaches children how to discover and develop their own best talents, how to contribute to a generous and joyous community, and how to play—and conduct their lives—with courage and confidence.” – Pat McDonagh
